Visitors traveling to Adventure Science Center in Nashville, TN, have several transportation options to reach the venue conveniently. Located at 800 Fort Negley Boulevard in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood, the center’s hilltop location offers easy access by car, public transit, and rideshare services.

The most common way to visit Adventure Science Center is by car. The venue provides on-site parking facilities for guests, situated around the center’s parking lots adjacent to the main entrance. While exact parking fees are not specified, visitors typically find affordable hourly rates in municipal lots nearby. It is advisable to check local parking signage upon arrival or consult Nashville’s parking authority for current fee structures. Accessible parking spaces are available close to the building for guests with disabilities.

Nashville’s WeGo Public Transit bus system can get you close to the center. Take Route 8 (8th Ave S) and exit at the Academy Square or Argyle Avenue stops. From there, it is a short but significant uphill walk of about 5-10 minutes to reach our entrance on the hill.

Nashville does not currently operate a local passenger train or a “Tube”/subway system. The WeGo Star is a weekday-only commuter rail service from the eastern suburbs to downtown, which is not a practical option for reaching the science center. For public transportation, the WeGo bus system is the recommended choice.

Cyclists can use bike-friendly lanes on main roads like 8th Ave S to approach the area. As with walking, be prepared for the final, challenging uphill climb on Fort Negley Blvd to reach the entrance. Bike racks are available on-site for you to secure your bicycle.

For active walkers, the center is approximately a 1.5-mile (30-minute) walk from the heart of downtown Nashville. Please be aware that the route involves crossing busy streets and concludes with a steep uphill climb to our hilltop location, so plan your path accordingly.
